This course is designed to introduce IBM Lotus Domino or Lotus Connections administrators to IBM Lotus Connections 2.0 and provides hands-on practice with installing Lotus Connections and management tasks commonly performed by Lotus Connections administrators.
It is likely that IBM Lotus Domino and IBM Lotus Connections administrators might be asked to assist in the deployment and management of IBM Lotus Connections 2.0. This course covers the implementation and management of the Lotus Connections environment, including installing the software required for a Lotus Connections deployment, configuring the Lotus Connections server, and performing common management tasks for the entire Lotus Connections environment, as well as for the individual features that comprise Lotus Connections. Referential information regarding troubleshooting Lotus Connections is also included in this course.
Audience
This intermediate course is for IBM Lotus Domino or Lotus Connections administrators who need to deploy and manage Lotus Connections in an enterprise environment.
Prerequisites
In order to be successful in this course, students should have:
- experience with administration of Lotus Domino, or other collaboration or Web application software.
In addition, it is recommended that students have completed:
- Using Lotus Connections (CN100)
- IBM WebSphere Application Server V6.1 Administration for Windowscourses (WP611) (WP621) or have equivalent experience.
Experience with configuring IBM DB2, Oracle, or Microsoft SQL Server databases and IBM HTTP Server is helpful but is not required.
