This 3-day instructor-led course introduces you to the new features and standards that are offered and supported in IBM WebSphere Application Server Version 8.5 Network Deployment (ND).

In this course, you learn how to install, configure, and maintain IBM WebSphere Application Server V8.5 Network Deployment and how to deploy enterprise Java applications. You also learn how to work with new features in WebSphere Application Server V8.5, such as the Liberty profile, Intelligent Management Pack, WebSphere Batch, flexible management, security enhancements, and logging.

Hands-on exercises throughout the course allow you to gain practical experience with WebSphere Application Server V8.5 by completing tasks such as installing and configuring the product, working with the Liberty profile, use logging capabilities, and implementing administrative security.

The lab environment for this course uses the Linux platform.
