Self-paced virtual classroom (SPVC) courses provide the same deep technical content as WebSphere Education classroom courses, but allow you to learn on your own schedule. You can stop and start a self-paced virtual class as needed during the 60-day access period.
There is no live instructor for this course, so it might not be appropriate for students who require the guidance of a live instructor. In such cases, students should consider the alternative versions of this course:
- Classroom delivery: IBM WebSphere MQ V7.1 System Administration (using Windows for labs) (WM204)
- Instructor-led online delivery: IBM WebSphere MQ V7.1 System Administration (using Windows for labs) (Remote) (VM204)
This 4-day instructor-led course provides technical professionals with the skills they need to administer WebSphere MQ version 7.1 queue managers on distributed platforms such as Windows, Linux, and AIX.
In this course, students learn how to install, customize, operate, and administer WebSphere MQ on distributed platforms. The course covers topics such as configuration, day-to-day administration, problem recovery, and managing security and performance.
In addition to the instructor-led lectures, students also participate in hands-on lab exercises that are designed to reinforce lecture content. The lab exercises use WebSphere MQ V7.1, giving students practical experience with tasks such as handling queue recovery, implementing security, and problem determination.
Completing this course can also help students prepare for the appropriate WebSphere MQ Administrator certifications.
