Self-paced virtual classroom (SPVC) courses provide the same deep technical content as WebSphere Education classroom courses, but allow you to learn on your own schedule. You can stop and start a self-paced virtual class as needed during the 4-day access period.

There is no live instructor for this course, so it may not be appropriate for students who require the guidance of a live instructor.

This self-paced course combines streaming lecture with a hands-on lab exercise to teach participants how to enforce SOA governance.

SOA governance focuses on governing the lifecycle of services to ensure the business value of SOA. It determines who should monitor, define, and authorize changes to services within the enterprise. A DataPower appliance, acting as a gateway to the enterprise web services, can be used to support SOA governance.

In this course, students learn how to connect to a UDDI and WebSphere Service Registry and Repository to enforce service governance. The course describes several ways to subscribe to WebSphere Service Registry and Repository documents. The lab exercise demonstrates the integration of DataPower and WebSphere Service Registry and Repository.
