This instructor led workshop is designed for developers, technical leads and architects with little or no background on the IBM Web Experience Factory platform. The scope of the training is to introduce you to this platform as an extensible tool to rapidly create, test, and deploy highly adaptive JSR 168/286 portlets, iWidgets, and J2EE applications.
Globally, the adoption of smart devices is skyrocketing, fueling the need of smart mobile solutions capable of providing enterprises with the primary way to communicate, and interact with internal stakeholders and with customers. Gartner reveals an estimate of 1.2 billion smart devices in 2012 alone, capable of leveraging interactive and rich mobile commerce, providing an ideal environment for the junction of mobility and web.
Realizing this surge within mobile webfronts and a need to dynamic application development, this training is designed exclusively to help you leverage the IBM platform effectively to develop and share hybrid, desktop and mobile apps. The training will also help you to discover reusable application building blocks for smartphones platforms such as Blackberry, iOS, Android and Windows Phone 7, without a need to create native applications.
With Streebo's expertise on the IBM Web Experience Factory platform, you would have the advantage of:
1) Leveraging multi-channel approach to create apps for both traditional desktop (Windows, Mac, Linux) based clients and smart devices such as the iPad, iPhone, Android and Windows powered clients, all from a single code base.
2) Optimize your application development and deployment cycle.
3) Effectively use native HTML 5 and CSS3 code for creating visually appealing apps.
4) Use built in device features such as GPS and camera optics for creating more interactivity with the end user.
This intermediate course is targeted towards developers, technical leads and architects who are using or considering using the IBM Web Experience Factory for creating Mobile, Portlet, iWidgets and J2EE application development.
