Course description: SCM471: Mastering Rational ClearCase Administration for UNIX

Learn techniques to ease deployment and maintenance of a ClearCase implementation from initial project planning through configuration, installation, and ongoing administration.

Hands-on labs run on a Red Hat Linux based image. This environment is functionally equivalent to the other UNIX environments that this course supports.

Note: For private (on-site) offerings wanting to use a lab environment other than Red Hat Linux you must provide the hardware, software, lab support, and pay for a one day setup by the instructor before the class begins.

This course is also available for Microsoft Windows platform.

• SCM370: Essentials of Configuration Management with Rational ClearCase (RS301) or
• SCM375: Essentials of Configuration Management with Rational ClearCase UCM (RS401)
• or have one year of experience working in or administering a UNIX or Microsoft Windows environment and six months experience with Microsoft Windows system administration
