The course is a one-day workshop in setting up and using a project documentation and repository system for capturing and managing the changing requirements of a system using Rational RequisitePro. The course emphasizes how a managed approach to requirements management will contribute to project success.
This is a hands-on course with exercises and activities to help users apply Requirements Management concepts. The student gains a general understanding of how to use RequisitePro to manage project scope by understanding requirement attributes and using traceability. The student also learns to assess the impact of the changing requirements of a project.

The Fundamentals of Rational RequisitePro course is intended for people using RequisitePro to organize, manage, and communicate the requirements of the project. The primary audience consists of business and requirements analysts.
