This course introduces IBM i technical specialists to the features, architecture and capabilities of IBM System l Storage DS6000 and DS8000 systems. It is roughly divided into two main parts: DS6000/DS8000 hardware, architecture and configuration for IBM i use, and high availability solutions System Storage makes possible for IBM i and the technologies involved. The material follows a step-by-step approach in showing how to configure a DS6000/DS8000 system.
This course provides lectures and hands on labs in a live virtual classroom environment (ILO - Instructor Led Online). This course is also offered in a face-to-face classroom setting with hands-on labs System Storage DS6000 and DS8000 on i (OS830)

Prerequisites
You should have an understanding of IBM i and i5/OS (OS/400) concepts in areas such as disk storage, system operations, work management, and communications.
