Whether you want to learn about using basic DB2 Web Query Reporting and Graphing function or take your DB2 Web Query Knowledge to the next level this class is for you.
Hands on labs will teach you to use the highly productive DB2 Web Query Report Assistant and Graph Assistant to provide web based reporting and graphing functions. Drill Downs, chaining, and advanced parameterized reports/graphs will also be created. You'll also learn how easy it is to direct your output to a PDF, to automatically produce an Excel spreadsheet or to direct your output to one of thirteen other formats. Hand-on labs will teach you how to easily convert and extend your Query for iSeries Reports into browser based DB2 Web Query Reports. You'll extend those Query reports with traffic lighting, you'll also direct output to Microsoft Excel and take the queries to a whole new level with Active Reports.
Learn how to use slice, dice, and pivot Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) enabled reports to show relationships in your existing data. You'll see demonstrations of Executive Dashboards and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Reports that are created by Developers Workbench components.
Developers will learn how to use the Developer's Workbench to develop Executive Dashboards KPI reports through hands on labs. You'll learn how to utilize DB2 Web Query Developer Workbench functions for joining, validating, and giving your end users function that's consistent across all of the DB2 Web Query Environment. You'll also learn how to consolidate data from multiple i partitions or systems. With hands on exercises you'll learn how to use some of the advanced i 6.1 Performance tuning and database functions such as SQL Views, SQL Joins, and Materialized Query Tables (MQTs) to make your queries run more effectively.
Administrators will learn to effectively manage and secure the DB2 Web Query Environment. Techniques for exporting your environment to other IBM i systems will also be discussed.
