You should complete:

  • Relational Database Design (CF180) or have equivalent knowledge
  • IBM Informix Structured Query Language (FN613) or have equivalent knowledge
  • Managing and Optimizing IBM Informix Dynamic Server Databases (FN848)

  • Use the autogenerate features of the HPL to generate maps, formats, load jobs and unload jobs
  • Monitor and tune onpload for optimal performance
  • Use Deluxe and Express mode loads
  • Troubleshoot common problems with the HPL
