The IBM Cognos 8 BI Go! Dashboard (V8.4) multimedia vignette introduces business users to the features and capabilities of Go! Dashboard. Through task-based product demonstrations, you will learn how to view and interact with existing dashboards, edit the style and layout of dashboards, and create dashboards using tools and IBM Cognos 8 content.

• Navigate back to IBM Cognos Connection

Interact with an Existing Dashboard

• Customize the chart type and palette colors
• Hide and show data in the charts using sliders and checkbox lists
• Rearrange columns and sort data in a crosstab
• Drill down on data

Create a Basic Dashboard

• Set up the dashboard canvas
• Add IBM Cognos 8 content to the dashboard canvas
• Change the layout and style of content on the dashboard canvas
• Save the dashboard to IBM Cognos Connection

Add Tools to the Dashboard

• Open a dashboard for editing
• Add and configure sliders and checkbox lists
• Add and configure an HTML Viewer

Configure and Advanced Dashboard

• Add and configure multiple sliders on the dashboard
• Configure channel properties for the Cognos Navigator and Cognos Viewer
