This is the Web-based version of Classroom course Informix 11 New Features (IX302) and Instructor-Led On-line course Informix 11.7 New Features (ILO) (3X302).

In this course, students will learn about the new features that are included with the 11.70 release of IBM Informix. Features include a replication grid management facility, updated installer, fragmentation enhancements, new indexing options, new query optimization features, a debugger for stored procedure language (SPL) coding, new scheduler tasks, support for system and log backup to the Cloud, and many others. A new replication grid management facility provides a central administration tool for administration of HDR primary and secondary servers, RS server, SD servers, and Enterprise Replication participants. Embedability and deployment tools are also included to enable users to package snapshots of Informix instances and data.
The self-paced format gives you the opportunity to complete the course at your convenience, at any location, and at your own pace. The course is available 24 hours a day. The minimum hardware and software required to launch the course are:

For example, a speed test against the server with a slow connection of 140 Kbps download and 28 Kbps upload took 14 minutes to load a 30min recording before the video began. Extrapolate from this result to estimate approximately how fast your network internet access would be.
