Course description: Introduction to InfoSphere QualityStage Using Version 8 - Web Based Training

Note: This is a self-paced online course in which the Guided Tour Product Simulation requires no installations: Everything is through your IE 5.0+ browser. Please DO NOT make travel arrangements for this course. After you receive confirmation that you are registered, just follow the instructions to access the course.

This browser-based product simulation let's you "learn-by-doing" in a case-study scenario in which you solve a 'real-life' business problem - no installations needed just a browser and a passion to learn.

By the end of this training you'll have a better understanding of this InfoSphere product's terminology, an overview of its architecture, and a better understanding of how it can be implemented.

Before putting you in the "driver's seat" in the Guided Tour Product Simulation, this course will explain the concepts of QualityStage, its architecture, and how to apply it to a 'real life' scenario in a business case-study in which you'll solve business problems. We will begin by looking at the big picture and discuss why businesses need QualityStage and where it fits in the product set.

Once we've talked about the very basic architecture and concepts, we'll investigate a business case-study, learn about a company called IS Bank. The CEO wants to implement some sales and marketing strategies that will require you to sift through the databases of two divisions and a newly acquired regional bank and provide him with a list of highly valued customers.

Using the QualityStage clients, you'll log onto the server and assess Jobs previously built by the Senior QualityStage Developer at IS Bank. You'll then build your own Job and modify a Job to solve this business problem.
