Course Overview:
In this self-paced virtual classroom course, you will learn about scalability and high availability features and how they can be implemented in a WebSphere Application Server V7 Network Deployment cell.
Through recorded lectures and Adobe Flash demonstrations, you will explore several highly available and scalable topologies, and evaluate their advantages and disadvantages. The course covers several components and features of WebSphere Application Server V7 Network Deployment that enable high availability and scaling, such as load balancers, caching proxies, the HTTP plug-in, the High Availability Manager (HA Manager), the service integration bus, and flexible management. You will also learn about advanced technologies and products, such as cloud computing and WebSphere eXtreme Scale, as solutions to scalability and high availability challenges in WebSphere environments.
