This two-day course introduces the new features and enhancements in WebSphere MQ V7. It is primarily intended for system administrators, architects, developers, and anyone who needs to use the new functions of WebSphere MQ V7.
Before taking this course, students should have experience with WebSphere MQ. If you are not familiar with the product, you should start by learning WebSphere MQ V6, and then take this course to add V7 skills.
In this course, students learn about Java Message Service (JMS) and Message Queue Interface (MQI) enhancements, new publish/subscribe capabilities, and new commands and Explorer enhancements. Students are also introduced to the new WebSphere MQ V7 enhancements that apply specifically to z/OS.
This course includes several lab exercises to provide students with hands-on experience with the new and extended capabilities of WebSphere MQ V7.

This course is designed for experienced WebSphere MQ administrators and developers who are new to WebSphere MQ V7.
Förkunskaper
Before taking this course, students should have a working knowledge of WebSphere MQ. Students should also be reasonably familiar with the operating system for the practical exercises, and be able to invoke simple functions within that environment.
