The course is designed to teach you how to build browser-based mobile web applications that are based on standards like HTML (hypertext markup language), CSS (cascading style sheets), and JavaScript.

Hands-on lab exercises throughout the course offer students the opportunity to use IBM Rational Application Developer for WebSphere Software to build, test, and deploy mobile web applications to the Ajax test server and to IBM WebSphere Application Server V8.

The lab environment for this course uses the Windows platform.
