Tivoli Asset Management for IT is one of the Tivoli Process Automation Process (TPAP) products. The product focuses on the IT asset lifecycle and the Asset and Configuration course follows the life of an asset as it is tracked by the application.
Topics include:
- Plan for and set up IT assets
- View and describe vendors, contracts, leases, and warranties
- Create requisitions for assets using the Desktop Requisitions and Purchase Requisitions applications
- Receive IT assets and deploy them to a user
- Manage asset moves and swaps
- Migrate discovered assets to Tivoli Access Management for IT
- Review reconciliation results of discovered assets
- Retire or dispose of an IT asset
This training class is provided in a classroom environment with multiple opportunities for hands-on practice. Most of the scenarios used in this class will be based on using IBM Tivoli Asset Management for IT version 7.1.
