This course is designed primarily to teach experienced System i RPG IV programmers how to use embedded SQL in System i RPG IV programs.
As a secondary purpose, you also learn to create and use simple SQL Stored Procedures.
This course is for experienced System i RPG IV programmers who want to learn how to use SQL as a means to perform I/O to access the DB2 UDB for System i database in their applications.

The class listed above is for experienced RPG III (aka. RPG/400) programmers.
The above classes are for experienced programmers who do not know RPG.
Experience with coding applications in the RPG IV language is strongly recommended, but RPG III background is acceptable. RPG IV language features will not be taught. If you have no knowledge of RPG IV, you may get less value from this class than would an experienced RPG IV programmer.
Overview knowledge of the DB2 UDB for System i database can be obtained by attending the following course:
