This course replaces course DB2 Connect 9 to DB2 fro z/OS DRDA Implementation with TCP/IP (CF602).

This course trains the database or communications professional to implement, administer, and tune DB2 Connect to DB2 for z/OS client/server distributed relational database connections using the Distributed Relational Database Architecture (DRDA). Teaching methods consist of classroom lectures, and extensive machine lab exercises using DB2 Connect with TCP/IP connections to DB2 for z/OS. Labs may be done on either a Windows or UNIX system.

You will configure TCP/IP connectivity for DB2 for z/OS, DB2 Connect, and optionally DB2 for Windows or UNIX to enable DRDA connections. You will also create a database manager instance, bind applications remotely, and identify security, performance, and problem determination issues.
