This is an intermediate course for IBM i Network administrators who implement the native security functions and who intend to implement and/or support IBM i TCP/IP security.

You should:

• Complete System i TCP/IP Basic Implementation (AS160) or
• Have the skills to install, configure, and maintain TCP/IP and its basic server functions on the IBM i operating system.

You should also have skills in the following areas:

• Basic IBM i skills including knowledge of the IFS
• Basic System i Navigator skills
• Basic Windows skills
• IBM i TCP/IP knowledge
• Experience in accessing the Internet

• Acquire a digital certificate from a certificate authority
• Secure an FTP server using System i Navigator, FTP exit programs, and the IBM i
