Kursbeskrivning: IBM Systems Director 6.2 for Power Systems II: Advanced Configurations

This course covers how to configure and use IBM Systems Director 6.2 in advanced configuration scenarios. Implementing Best Practices, IBM DB2 as an external database, implement active energy manager, and Hierarchical Management Servers (HMS) will be explored during this course. This course is designed for the IBM Power based systems with clients running AIX. This course contains hands-on lab exercises.

This course provides lectures and hands on labs in a face-to-face classroom setting. The course is also offered in a live virtual classroom environment with hands-on labs IBM Systems Director 6.2 for Power Systems II: Advanced Configurations ILO (AX980).

This advanced course is for anyone responsible for implementing and managing a virtualized infrastructure on Power-based systems. The audience for this training includes AIX System Administrators, Systems Operators, and System Architects.

• Basic AIX system administration experience, and IBM Systems Director 6.2 configuration and management experience.

These prerequisites may be met by attending the following course: IBM Systems Director 6.2 for Power Systems I: Installation and Systems Management (AN941SE) or (AX941SE).
