IBM Tivoli Monitoring (ITM) manages the IT infrastructure including operating systems, databases and servers across distributed and host environments through a single customizable workspace portal. You use the Universal Agent to create your own customized monitoring agents.
In this course, learn all aspects of creating monitoring solutions with the IBM Tivoli Universal Agent (UA) to integrate data from custom resources into ITM 6.2.1. Starting with a general understanding and positioning of UA, you learn the specifics of installing the UA on Windows and Linux before going into designing custom UA applications utilizing different data providers. You also learn how to manage UA applications in the TEP, as well as troubleshooting procedures. You gain hands-on experience with frequent lab exercises.
NOTE: This is a live, instructor-led online course. Do not make arrangements to travel. See the Remarks section for the equipment required to participate in the lectures and hands-on labs. After you are confirmed in the class you will receive further instructions to access audio, video and remote labs. Instructor-led Online US courses start at 9:00 am Central time unless specified otherwise. Please enroll at least five business days prior to class start date to ensure course materials can be shipped in time.
