This five-day instructor-led course teaches you students how to use the WebSphere Data Interchange administration and translation system. WebSphere Data Interchange facilitates the creation, deployment, and management of data transformation between standards-based EDI and XML formats as well as internal application data formats.

Through both instructor-led lectures and a series of extensive hands-on lab exercises, students gain practical knowledge and experience in using WebSphere Data Interchange to translate and map data between different formats and applications. In this course, students are given a set of business data, and work on defining the data to WebSphere Data Interchange and defining the profiles used to provide processing information to the translation. Students also learn how to map the correspondence between the application data, Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) standard data, and Extensible Markup Language (XML), as well as how to translate data between those formats.
