In this 5-day instructor-led course, students receive comprehensive training in implementing and administering IBM WebSphere Partner Gateway to support business to business (B2B) integration between trading partners.
WebSphere Partner Gateway provides centralized and consolidated B2B trading partner and transaction management based on industry data formats such as Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), Extensible Markup Language (XML), and others, as well as related transport protocols such as EDIINT AS2, HTTP, Java Message Service (JMS), File Transfer Protocol (FTP), and Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP).
The course begins with overviews of fundamental e-business concepts and the WebSphere Partner Gateway product, and then addresses WebSphere Partner Gateway implementation and administration. Students learn how to create and configure B2B connections with WebSphere Partner Gateway by using trading partner profiles, document flows, and security certificates. In addition, students learn the integrated use of the various components of WebSphere Partner Gateway, such as the community console, document manager, and document receivers. This course also provides a working B2B methodology that students can implement for B2B solutions using WebSphere Partner Gateway, as well as information on administration and troubleshooting.
Throughout the course, extensive hands-on lab exercises reinforce the lectures, and give students practical experience working with WebSphere Partner Gateway. The lab exercises enable students to install, configure, and implement a working B2B integration solution by creating trading partner profiles, utilizing certificates, and exchanging documents between the WebSphere Partner Gateway Enterprise and WebSphere Partner Gateway Express editions.
