Kursbeskrivning: InfoSphere Optim Designer for Optim Data Growth - ILO - New

This is the nstructor-led Online version of Classroom course (DT161SE).

This is an online course. Please do not make travel arrangements for this course. After you receive confirmation that you are enrolled, you will be sent further instructions to access the course material.

This course is designed to teach attendees how to use Optim Designer V2.2.3 and Optim Manager V2.2.3. Students taking this course must have taken the course, InfoSphere Optim Data Growth for Archiving on Dist Systems (DT203SE) or Using Optim Data Growth ofr Archiving on Dist Systems (3T203SE) or the equivalent web based or self-paced virtual online course or have the prerequisite knowledge prior to taking this course.

In this workshop, you will learn how to setup the Optim Manager; learn how to use the Optim Designer objects necessary to support data growth objectives; and how to execute Optim Services. You will create a data growth strategy to archive orders. Finally, you will learn how to use Optim Manager to execute and manage Optim services.

This course is an intermediate course for IBM technical personnel involved in using Optim Designer and Optim Manager for building, publishing and executing InfoSphere Optim services.

You should have:

• Use basic Window functionality
• Discuss basic relational database concepts and objects, such as tables, indexes, views, and joins
• Construct and use basic SQL statements

You should complete:

• InfoSphere Optim Data Growth for Archiving on Dist Systems (DT203SE) or equivalent to use Optim 8.1 to create Optim requests

• Describe the architecture and process flow of IBM Optim Designer, Optim Manager, and Optim services
• Setup the environment for Optim Designer
• Create connection profiles, physical data models and logical data models
• Use Optim Designer to manage data growth:
  • Create logical data models
  • Create data access plans
  • Create Optim archive services

• Execute and publish services using Optim Designer
• Assign, run, schedule and monitor services from Optim Manager
