The IBM License Metric Tool helps maintain an up-to-date inventory of the IBM distributed software assets in an IT infrastructure and measures the processor value units (PVU) that are consumed by them. In this course you learn to manage IBM distributed software inventory and audit reports, and maintain the IBM License Metric Tool environment. You also learn about virtualization, subcapacity, and full capacity license model concepts.
This course consists of recorded instructor presentations and lab demonstrations. It does not include live, hands-on labs. Lessons are download-and-play, and the student guide for the course is available under the Course Materials tab of the course information page.
This basic course is for individuals who need to understand how to implement IBM License Metric Tool. This includes IT project managers, system administrators, inventory adminstrators, software license administrators, and software asset managers.
