IBM WebSphere Service Registry and Repository provides a robust, centrally managed system of record for service artifacts within a service-oriented architecture. With WebSphere Service Registry and Repository, organizations can get the most business value from their SOA by facilitating the storage, access, and management of service metadata so that services can be effectively shared, managed, and governed.

Through a combination of instructor-led lectures and hands-on lab exercises, students learn how to install, deploy, and administer WebSphere Service Registry and Repository environments. The course begins with an overview of service registries, and then covers installation and deployment. Subsequent topics include the architecture and information model behind WebSphere Service Registry and Repository, graphical user interfaces (UIs), security, and administrative scripting.

The hands-on lab exercises in this course provide students with direct experience working on WebSphere Service Registry and Repository administration tasks. Skills covered in the lab exercises include configuring profiles, managing service metadata, configuring security, and automating administrative tasks through scripting.
