Learn problem solving skills related to the Object Data Manager (ODM), hardware and software system boot issues, error reporting and installation relating to AIX.
The course is available 24 hours a day. Online instructor help is available Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET.

Mål
- Describe the purpose and structure of the Object Data Manager (ODM)
- Use ODM commands to directly view and modify ODM files
- Describe the process of loading an AIX boot image
- Describe the functions of rc.boot, phases 1, 2 and 3 during AIX initialization
- Describe how devices are configured during AIX initialization
- Recognize and repair common boot problems
- Use the error reporting facility to capture and report system error messages
- Identify the steps to do an alternate disk installation
