Learn to integrate PowerHA SystemMirror V6.1 Standard Edition in a highly available virtualized environment in which the PowerHA nodes are clients to a virtual I/O server.

This advanced course is intended for PowerHA SystemMirror system administrators and support personnel who are responsible for the implementation and maintenance of PowerHA SystemMirror clusters in a virtualized environment on IBM Power Systems running AIX.

You must have:

• experience planning, implementing, and administering PowerHA SystemMirror or HACMP cluster
• and basic knowledge of how to create an LPAR and VIO server. This prerequisite may be met by attending:
  • PowerHA for AIX I: Implementation, Configuration and Administration (AN410NO)
  • Power Systems for AIX - Virtualization I: Implementing Virtualization (AN300NO)

You should also have basic knowledge of the following topics:

• TCP/IP communications concepts; and LVM concepts and configuration. This prerequisite may be met by attending:
  • TCPIP for AIX Administrators (AN210NO)
  • Power Systems for AIX II: AIX Implementation and Administration (AN120NO).
