Kurs informasjon: IBM InfoSphere FastTrack Essentials (ILO)

This course replaces course FastTrack Essentials - Instructor Led Online (3I810). This is the Instructor-led online version of Classroom course IBM InfoSphere FastTrack Essentials (KM630).

This is an online course. Please do not make travel arrangements for this course. After you receive confirmation that you are enrolled, you will be sent further instructions to access audio, video, and/or remote labs.

Learn the uses and features of FastTrack within the Information Server environment. This course looks at FastTrack both as a tool for the Business Analyst for creating mapping specifications and as a tool for generating prototype DataStage jobs.

After introducting FastTrack and its role within InfoSphere Information Server, the course focuses on building mapping specifications and generating DataStage jobs from them. First simple mapping specifications involving field mappings, functions, and filters are discussed as well as the DataStage jobs that are generated from them.Afterwards, more complex mapping specifications involving lookups, joins, switchs, and transformation rules are discussed, as well as the DataStage jobs that are generated from them. Other topics include the use of Business Terms, Reports, and the Import/Export of mapping specifications.

• Basic understanding of data sources and systems, including relational systems and file systems.
• Some understanding of Extraction Transformation Load (ETL) tools and/or processes from a technical or business analyst point of view.
• Some familiarity with Information Server and its hosted applications, especially DataStage, is desirable.
