This browser-based product simulation let's you "learn-by-doing" in a case-study scenario in which you become familiar with the actual product - no installations needed just a browser and a passion to learn.
By the end of this training you'll have a better understanding of this InfoSphere product's terminology, an overview of its architecture, and a better understanding of how it can be implemented.

This course will discuss the architecture of IBM Information Server and the concepts involved. This will give ETL and DataStage Developers, for instance, a better view of both the tool they use and the environment in which they use it. Data discovery professionals, data quality developers, business users, project managers, integration administrators, and consultants will learn how to use IBM Information Server to benefit from each others work.
After the concepts section, you'll enter into a Guided Tour Product Simulation section of the training. This section will walk you through the product modules, the client UIs, the new features, functionality, and facilites within Information Server.
Finally, we'll dealve into the new functionality of DataStage 8.0 contained within IBM Information Server and discuss improvements to this product module.

This course assumes no pre-existing knowledge, however, the What's New in DataStage 8.0 section does assume that you are familiar with earlier releases of DataStage. Because the scope of this training may be wider than your immediate job responsibilites, it may promote a better working relationship with the data integration team members at your company. Familiarity with data integration challenges is a plus.
Mål
By the end of this training you'll be able to describe what IBM Information Server is. You'll know the names of each of the product modules contained within Information Server and you'll be able to describe the value of the unified architecture and the new features. By the end of this online training, you should be able, in a practice environment, to navigate through the various client UIs and the server environment.
