Q: I need a Customer number to enrol. How do I find out mine?
A: Why Customer numbers are important: To help us process your order more efficiently, it is important to make sure you use the correct Customer number. Some of our larger customers can have many Customer numbers. In order to make sure we invoice correctly, the Customer number you use must match the correct billing address.
If in doubt, you can check your Customer number as follows:
- When you receive confirmation of your enrolment, your Customer number will be included on your letter.
- Contact the IBM UK Enrolments team at 0845 7581329
To save having to recall your Customer number every time you order, register yourself as described above. That way your details will be included automatically every time you order.

Q: What is IBM's cancellation policy?
A: You cannot cancel self study Courses once IBM has sent you confirmation of enrolment. You may cancel or postpone a private class or your enrolment in a public class more than 10 full working days prior to the scheduled start date of the class by notifying IBM in writing or by e-mail. If you fail to cancel or postpone prior to this notification period, or a student fails to attend or withdraws from the course, you will be responsible for the full price of the class and any associated additional costs incurred by IBM. This also applies to Education Card or Education Pack holders. If you wish to defer delivery of a private class or an enrolment in a public class to another date, IBM will try to accommodate. If such a request is made less than 10 full working days before commencement of the class, any transfer will be subject to an administration fee of 25% of the class price. If you subsequently cancel from the deferred date, you will be charged the full cancellation fee of the first course. You may send a substitute from the same company for a student who has a confirmed enrolment on a class, provided they meet the prerequisites for the course, without penalty, up until commencement of the class. IBM may charge actual costs incurred, including travel and living expenses, if you cancel a private class less than four weeks before its scheduled start date.
Provisional Bookings
Q: Do IBM accept provisional bookings?
A: No. Whenever you book on a course, it is a confirmed booking and IBM will send out the confirmation letter accordingly.
Date on Request
Q: What does 'Date on Request' mean under the course description?
A: The particular class is an 'on request' class which means that it will only run when IBM have received sufficient interest in the course. In this case, customers should express their interest via the Training Website by filling in the 'Register' form.
Joining Instructions
Q: How do I get Joining Instructions?
A: Full joining instructions are sent to you once you have made your enrolment. These can be provided via e-mail or via post.
