As a measure of this commitment, IBM will be initiating a Global Skills Initiative within the IBM Systems and Technology Group and IBM Software Group that is aimed at accelerating the growth of skills and the successful adoption of IBM solutions in the global marketplace. IBM intends to advance this initiative by maximizing and enabling a worldwide Business Partner network uniquely positioned to market, sell and deliver IBM software and systems training on a broader and more diverse scale.
What is changing?
Efforts to transform this area of IBM’s education service business will begin with a Functional Test limited to countries within the UKI and Nordics regions (United Kingdom / Ireland, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Denmark). Starting on September 03, 2012, IBM Systems and Technology Group and IBM Software Group will be partnering with Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions to provide education services. Customers within these countries who previously purchased training direct from IBM Systems and Technology Group or IBM Software Group will now conduct business directly with Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions.
