The Cisco Certified Voice Professional certification is a new certification focusing on Voice over IP technologies. The CCVP consists of 5 examinations and a current CCNA certification.
The CCVP Boot Camp course is split into three - one week classes. Each class runs at an accelerated pace, with extended hours, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM each day. Each class covers two of the six courses needed to pass the CCVP examinations. The three weeks combined focus on presenting the core competencies associated with Cisco IP Telephony converged networks. The purpose of these courses is to provide the student with adequate knowledge needed to pass five key certification tests required to attain the advanced Cisco Certified Voice Professional (CCVP) certification.
This 15 day concentrated offering can be used in place of the regular six weeks of training. It provides the students the necessary skills and knowledge needed to plan, design, implement, and operate a Cisco IPT solution. The six weeks of training are covered in 15 days through the elimination of redundant material, extended teach days and emphasis on the important aspects of this technology.
The content is customized and includes relevant materials from six Cisco authorized certification courses. The six classes have been split into three weeks to allow more time to absorb the large amount of material.
The courses are split in the following way:
- CCVP Mini Camp - Week 1 - CVOICE / QoS (NCM3G)
- CCVP Mini Camp - Week 2 - CIPT1 / CIPT2 (NCN0G)
- CCVP Mini Camp - Week 3 - GWGK / IPTT (NCN1G)
These materials, along with a customized Lab Procedures book, will ensure that the course flows seamlessly without overlapping of content. Obtain your Cisco IPT training from the company first in teaching this technology and that uses instructors with real world experience in deploying Cisco IP telephony solutions.
Course Extras
In addition to the standard course materials for each class, attendees will also receive exam vouchers to take the exams relating to the courses covered in the particular week. Weeks 1 and 3 get 2 vouchers while week 2 only gets 1 voucher since there is only one combined test for CIPT1 / CIPT2.
- 642-642 QOS
- 642-425 IPTT
- 642-444 CIPT1 & CIPT2
- 642-432 CVOICE
- 642-452 GWGK
Exam vouchers will be updated as exam versions are updated. Free vouchers towards simulation practice tests from a well-respected test provider are also provided on a USB memory stick (128 MB).

Participants
Network Engineers who will be designing IP Telephony solutions that include the deployment of Cisco Call Manager software and associated VoIP equipment.
Pré-requis
Prior to attending this week of the BootCamp, the student should have:
- Attended course Interconnecting Cisco Network Devices - ICND (NC010G)
- Have Cisco CCNA certification (recommended prerequisite)
- Attended course Building Cisco Multilayer Switched Networks - BCMSN (NC05G)
- Working knowledge of fundamental terms and concepts of computer networking to include LANs, WANs, and IP switching and routing
- Ability to configure and operate Cisco routers and switches and to enable VLANs and DHCP
- Attended course Cisco Voice over IP - CVOICE (NC25G)
- Fundamental knowledge of converged voice and data networks
- Ability to configure voice interfaces on Cisco voice-enabled equipment for connection to traditional, nonpacketized telephony equipment and to configure the call flows for POTS and VoIP dial peers
Objectifs
After completing this pair of courses, the student should be able to:
- Deploy a Cisco CallManager server in a cluster by using a supported IP telephony deployment model
- Configure Cisco CallManager and the Cisco Catalyst switch to enable on-cluster calls and add users, phones, and Cisco IP Communicator to the Cisco CallManager database using manual configuration, auto-registration, or BAT
- Configure Cisco gateways and intercluster trunks, create hunt groups, and create a route plan in Cisco CallManager to enable calling to remote clusters so that the WAN is not oversubscribed, calls are preserved if the WAN fails, and user calling restrictions are in place
- Configure Cisco CallManager to enable features and services, including conferencing, music on hold (MOH), speed dials, Call Park, Call Pickup, Cisco Call Back, Barge, Privacy, Cisco IP Phone Services, Cisco CallManager Extension Mobility, Cisco CallManager Attendant Console, and Cisco IP Manager Assistant (IPMA) and also use these features on Cisco IP Phones
- Configure Cisco CallManager and the client PC to enable Cisco CallManager Attendant Console and Cisco IPMA
- Harden Cisco IP telephony devices, prevent toll fraud, understand cryptographic concepts, and apply cryptography to your Cisco IP telephony system
- Make IP video telephony calls with Cisco VT Advantage and describe the basic components and characteristics of video calls and Cisco CallManager configuration parameters that enable video
- Classify and use system maintenance tools that can be used in a Cisco CallManager environment
