This course is for those whose job responsibility is to maintain, monitor, and configure an operational Content Manager system. Maintenance tasks include administering users and groups, monitoring the Content Manager database to ensure that proper sizing and backup parameters are met, and maintaining all components of the various business processes or applications that run on the system. The system administrator must be knowledgeable and have experience with the data model elements, including document routing and workflow, and the impact that the data design has on the Content Manager system. The system administrator must be familiar with the access control hierarchy and be able to troubleshoot access control lists and privilege sets to resolve user access issues.
You work with a fully functioning IBM Content Manager system and the First Steps sample database to practice the skills required to administer, maintain, and troubleshoot a Content Manager system. You complete exercises using the system administration client, the Client for Windows, and the browser-based IBM WEBi client.
