This one-day instructor-led course prepares students to take the WebSphere Application Server V6.1 Administrator certification test by covering various aspects of the exam and providing a review of WebSphere Application Server concepts and skills.
The first part of this course consists of an instructor-led review of WebSphere Application Server administration topics. Students review sample test questions from various areas of the test with the instructor, discussing information such as the correct answer for the question and why that answer is correct. Test questions cover topics such as architecture, installation and configuration of Application Server, application assembly and deployment, WebSphere security, workload management, scalability, failover, maintenance, performance, and problem determination.
During the latter half of the day, students have the opportunity to take the actual certification exam, IBM Certified System Administrator - WebSphere Application Server, Network Deployment, V6.1 (Certification Test 253).
Note: This course does not teach any WebSphere Application Server skills; it is simply a test preparation review of knowledge and skills the student is expected to already have. For actual technical education, see the WebSphere Application Server V6.1 Administration courses (WA361/VA361 for Windows, WA461/VA461 for AIX, or WA561/VA561 for Linux).
