This three-day classroom course teaches you how to configure and use the advanced features of WebSphere Application Server V6.1 Network Deployment, including automated performance optimization, centralized management, and high availability. When you complete this course, you will have built a working knowledge of WebSphere Application Server V6.1 Network Deployment installation, security, and management.
Installation: The course begins with a discussion about installing WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment in a distributed environment.
Security: Through hands-on activities and group discussions, you build a solid understanding of best practices to design, configure, and manage a Network Deployment cell. You learn the intricacies of end-to-end security, Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE) security, Secure Sockets Layers (SSL), and digital signatures that are relevant to administrators. You also perform hands-on exercises to set up SSL and use Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) or local registries.
Management: You learn to articulate, design, and implement robust workload management scenarios in order to improve performance and manage failover.
