PRJ270 is an introductory course to the Rational Unified Process (RUP). RUP is a knowledge base containing software engineering practices that represent many of the best practices observed in successful software development. This course provides an introduction to iterative development, as well as to the organization and content of this knowledge base. It emphasizes the main principles of iterative software development: phases and their objectives, and the mitigation of risks. Students are also introduced to RUP tailoring choices.
