SQMS II


Supplier Quality Management System II (SQMS II) is the next generation of a collaborative Supplier/IBM tool to collect, measure, and manage quality data and metrics for purchased commodities. Direct supplier and IBM manufacturing input of data combined with flexible, dynamic chart generation minimizes the manual effort in summarizing the data. The use of the Internet and the security of Websphere / DB2 are combined to allow the supplier to directly see their product's performance inside IBM’s manufacturing lines, and the trend charts and reports that SQMS II generates. The use of this across multiple divisions and commodities in IBM has resulted in more consistent requirements to suppliers and IBM manufacturing sites, as well as a standard data summary tool for quality groups in IBM. Flexible data input formats, multiple target sets, and supplemental data attachments enhance the tool to serve as the cornerstone in any commodity quality system.

Supplier Registration

SQMS II is fully integrated into the portal for suppliers to request, modify and remove access. Please go to the IBM Supply Portal and log into My Portal. Use the functions under User to perform the needed operation. Field help is available on each panel in Registration. It can be accessed by clicking on the field title to the left of the input box.
