Intermediate Level Certification

IBM is pleased to announce the addition of the following job-role certification and applicable test to the Professional Certification Program from IBM (www.ibm.com/certify). This certification will be available worldwide April 22, 2011. By achieving this certification, intermediate level application developers have validated their knowledge and skills, and can demonstrate their technical competence to others.

IIBM Certified Solution Developer - WebSphere Message Broker V7.0

Test 000-183, IBM WebSphere Message Broker V7.0, Solution Development

This intermediate level certification is intended for developers, architects and consultants with the knowledge and experience to utilize the connectivity, transformation, and mediation capabilities of the WebSphere Message Broker V7.0. They are able to analyze, design, and deploy message models using the WebSphere Message Broker Toolkit. In addition, these developers can design, develop, test, debug, and deploy message flows via the WebSphere Message Broker Toolkit by using ESQL, Java, graphical mapping tools, and pattern features.

These technical professionals understand how to integrate legacy applications, web services, databases, Java applications and business process management services in order to build advanced Enterprise Service Bus solutions. They also understand concepts related to scalability, high availability, security, the general use of adapters, and workload balancing in the WebSphere Message Broker environment.

To attain the certification credential, candidates must pass 1 test: Test 000-183.

Test 000-181 is designed to measure skills in the areas of:

Test 000-183 is available via test delivery vendor Prometric (link resides outside of ibm.com).

Test 000-183 is also available to IBM employees at a reduced rate via the IBM SWG Prime Test Centers, and IBMers can obtain test registration information via certify@us.ibm.com.

Test 000-183 is a 105 minute test. The test fee is set to the economy of a country as $200 USD each in developed countries and $100 USD each in emerging market countries. The test delivery vendor can verify the specific test fee within each country.
