IBM WebSphere Portal 8.0 System Administrator Certifications available

Collaboration Solutions certification is pleased to announce the availability of the above certifications and the corresponding tests.

Due to product complexity, the volume of information which needs to be covered for this job role is too great to fit into one exam so there are two core tests for the Portal administrator. As a result, Collaboration Solutions Certification also published an upgrade test so that professionals who are certified on the most recent release prior to version 8.0 are only tested on the new features. Administrators who have not certified on Portal 7.0 will need to take both tests in order to attain certification.

The paths available for IBM Certified System Administrator - WebSphere Portal 8.0:

Path Needed Tests
Those certified on Portal 7.0 must: Pass LOT-929: IBM WebSphere Portal 8.0 Deployment and Administration Update
Those not certified on Portal or certified on release 6.1 or earlier: Pass LOT-923: IBM WebSphere Portal 8.0 Deployment and Administration
and LOT-924: IBM WebSphere Portal 8.0 Migration and Support

IBM Collaboration Solutions Certification recognizes that having to take two tests requires greater investment than one, so a promotion has been put in place from now until the end of December 2012. System Administrators wanting to achieve certification in Portal 8 can take both core exams for the price of one. Click on the banner at top of page for more information.
