Job Role Description / Target Audience

This certification targets intermediate level application developers.  

The Application Developer is an individual who uses IBM Rational Business Developer and Enterprise Generation Language (EGL) to develop business applications.  This individual designs, develops, and debugs EGL applications and then deploys them as generated Java or generated COBOL applications.  The applications might involve SQL, serial files, or services.  This individual has an in-depth understanding of the EGL core language, syntax, and semantics, as well as well as a good understanding of the EGL development environment.    This individual also has a familiarity with best practices for implementing a design using the EGL language.

To attain the IBM Certified Application Developer - Rational Business Developer Version 7.1 certification, candidates must pass 1 test
