Dynamic Infrastructure specialty expanded

Portrait of Jim Corgel Reduce costs. Improve IT services. Manage risks. These needs resonate with businesses and organizations around the world as they look to take advantage of today's highly instrumented, interconnected and intelligent world. Building on the success of our Dynamic Infrastructure initiatives, IBM is introducing major enhancements to the Dynamic Infrastructure specialty.

These improvements are designed specifically for IBM Business Partners to help identify and respond to new, higher value/higher margin client needs through a deeper, consultative services-led business model. They can also help you connect across partner types and expand your capabilities to meet a broader set of client needs.

The three key enhancements include:

  • Dynamic Infrastructure Central
This new Web resource within PartnerWorld provides everything Business Partners need to take advantage of the Dynamic Infrastructure opportunity. In one place, you will find information and links about education, qualifying for the specialty, selling and technical tools and resources, and the new community. There is also a dedicated section focused on Dynamic Infrastructure opportunities in the midmarket.
  • Specialty expansion to include independent software vendors and technology partners
Starting in January 2010, the Dynamic Infrastructure specialty qualification will be expanded to include unique criteria and benefits for independent software vendors (ISVs). Specific skills and technology integration elements are designed to help ISVs fully leverage Dynamic Infrastructure technologies and products and offer more compelling solutions to their clients. ISVs who achieve the Dynamic Infrastructure Specialty accreditation will be eligible for benefits in four categories: technical, marketing, selling and collaboration.

In addition, the existing Dynamic Infrastructure technology partners offering has been integrated into the specialty, and the reseller criteria for the information infrastructure solution area have been simplified.
  • A new Dynamic Infrastructure community
This new online community—delivered as part of the broader PartnerWorld communities initiative and powered by Lotus Connections—is open to all IBM Business Partners who have completed the Dynamic Infrastructure virtual education. The community will provide a new interactive venue where you can connect and collaborate with IBM and other Business Partners to learn more about Dynamic Infrastructure.

Join the conversation with your clients in the Dynamic Infrastructure community. In a special 45-minute webcast, listen to IBM executives and clients discuss a host of new offerings that deliver and support a dynamic infrastructure.

By leveraging IBM's strategy for Dynamic Infrastructure, you can help your clients address today's challenges to improve service, reduce cost and manage risk, while laying the foundation for the future.

Sincerely,
