Introduction Get started

The SaaS specialty is a marketing initiative for IBM Business Partners. A Business Partner must complete the requirements of the specialty as described on this page and must receive the invitation and approval of IBM to participate in the specialty.

You must accept these terms as a condition of participation, and you acknowledge that IBM has sole discretion in determining whether to extend you an invitation to participate in the specialty and in determining your continuing eligibility to participate in it.

Follow these steps to get started with the SaaS specialty.

1. Participate in the SaaS community
   
   
2. Create a Global Solutions Directory listing
   Sign in to the Global Solutions Directory using your IBM ID, select Manage solutions, and create a listing for each solution you wish to use as a basis for qualifying for the specialty. Your solution must be offered in a SaaS model. If your solution is already listed in the Global Solutions Directory, you're ready to proceed.
   
   
3. Deliver your SaaS solution
   Have your application use at least two of the following criteria to deliver your SaaS solution:
   • IBM hardware from the qualifying hardware and middleware lists in your solution.
   • IBM middleware from the qualifying hardware and middleware lists in your solution.
   • Host your application at an IBM Managed Services Data Center.
   
   
4. Achieve the Advanced level in PartnerWorld as an ISV
   
   
5. Apply for the specialty
   After your company has met the business criteria, sign in again to the Global Solutions Directory and:
   • Select Manage solutions.
   • Select Nominate your solution for an IBM technical validation or specialty from the left navigator.
   • Select your solution and the Software as a Service specialty validation type.
   • Click on Submit.
   • Complete the nomination form and click Submit.
   Your qualifications will be reviewed by IBM and upon approval you will receive an e-mail instructing you how to proceed.
