    • Biography

      Zoran Hrustic was appointed as Director of Information Management and Business Analytics sales - IBM’s CEEMEA Software Group in 2009. He leads the Information Management, Business Analytics and Process Automation teams across CEEMEA that are responsible for IBM’s software solutions, marketing programs, technical support, client satisfaction and sales results throughout the geography.

      Prior to his current role, Zoran was the Software Group Business Unit Executive for Central & Eastern Europe & Middle East and before that Zoran was responsible for IBM’s Storage Software business on EMEA level, as well as IBM SW Business in South East Eastern Europe. He has also previously been responsible in building & managing IBM’s Tivoli/Systems Management business in CEMA region.

      He joined IBM Croatia in 1992, where he held various technical, marketing & sales roles and moved to IBM CEMA headquarters in Vienna, Austria in 1999, He currently lives in Dubai with his family.

      Zoran Hrustic has graduated from Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Zagreb, with BS in Computer Science.

    • Biography

      Ivo in his current role is the Sales Executive for the Information Management Brand in IBM's Software Group for the Northeast IOT.

      Prior to this position he was leading the SWG Business Unit Public & Distribution in Germany. Ivo Körner has held various local and EMEA Management positions in IBM, among these Brand Executive for Information Management in Germany, Switzerland and Austria and EMEA Sales Integration Executive for Candle.

      In 2001 Ivo joined IBM after gaining 2 years experience in founding, financing and managing an internet start-up company. Before working in the internet industry he has held various Sales and Sales Leadership positions within Oracle's German operation. Ivo Körner has started his IT career 1991 while working as a consultant for the Commission of the European Community in Luxemburg, where he has worked as an IT adviser in projects for GDP publications and computation of short term industry indicators.

    Rob Ashe, General Manager, Business Analytics, IBM

    • Biography

      A veteran of the business analytics and performance management industries, Rob Ashe has spent most of the past twenty-six years working with Global 3500 enterprises to help enable effective decision-making and drive higher performance in their organizations.

      Rob is responsible for the strategic vision, direction and day-to-day operations of Business Analytics at IBM. He is a principal architect and evangelist of the company’s vision for analytics.

      Rob joined Cognos, which was acquired by IBM in January of 2008, in 1984. During his tenure he served in numerous senior executive positions, including chief executive officer, chief operating officer, chief corporate officer, and chief financial officer, senior vice president of research and development, and senior vice president of global customer service.

      His senior leadership contributed to the growth of Cognos revenue by more than 355% and the transformation of Cognos from a specialized tools provider into a world-leading business intelligence and performance management company. This leadership continues at IBM as he directs the business analytics division in delivering solutions that let corporations improve and manage business performance by enabling better decision-making across all of the key steps in the management cycle – from sense and respond to predict and act - for smarter decision-making.

    Marc Boumans, Business Change Manager, Achmea

    • Biography

      Marc Boumans is responsible for transformation of the Business Intelligence function within Achmea IT, one of the largest Dutch insurance companies. His activities are focused on driving the transformation of the BI function parallel to a number of large BI related programmes that Achmea have recently embarked on. For two of these programmes - Value Management (=Solvency II related) & SENS (=Lean Six Sigma) - Marc directs the development and implementation teams of Achmea IT. Synchronising the transformation activities and building a solid BI capability to assure the delivery for these programmes is his prime focus.

      Before joining Achmea, Marc started his own consulting company Apex:Project through which he provided executive consulting & management services. He successfully handled multiple high profile business transformation & transition projects and crisis situations. Besides his project management engagements and hands-on crisis handling, Marc coached teams & facilitated organisations in achieving sustainable business results, programme execution & crisis handling.

      From the end of 2005 until the end of 2007 Marc held a senior position within IBM. As a senior project director he had overall responsibility for a large strategic outsourcing contract.

      Marc joined IBM in 2001 and became part of the Philips Integrated Account. As a senior consultant with IBM Business Consultancy Services, Marc was one of the creators of the new Philips collaboration strategy in the 2nd half of 2002. The projects delivered an environment servicing 110,000 end users worldwide. As part of this programme, the team consolidated 69 data centers into 28. It rolled out the new infrastructure and migrated the old Notes/Domino R5 environment to Notes/Domino 6. Finally, it took care of the migration of all 110,000 end users and their clients. After the successful completion of the 'DIAMOND II' programme at Philips Electronics, Marc was asked to take on the role as senior crisis manager. In this position he led the IBM EMEA Customer Satisfaction and Technical Solutions team of Lotus Software. Marc's responsibilities consisted of re-aligning and restructuring the crisis management organisation. His focus was to make the team more pro-active and to assure the team added more value during a crisis situation and worked with the information at hand.

      Marc started his career in 1998 at ABP/USZO the world's 2nd largest pension and investment fund, as a management trainee. He was quickly promoted to service manager. Marc was part of the business unit management team. After the successful completion of the project, Marc moved to Organon N.V. (the former pharmaceutical business unit of Akzo Nobel N.V.) in 2000 to accept a position as financial consultant. In this role Marc advised the Area Director of the America's and his management team on investment strategy, financial management, and operational challenges, initiatives and projects. Marc was responsible for leading the annual report team of the business unit Organon. He was also part of the joint venture setup team responsible for launching a new drug on the global market together with a large French Pharmaceutical Firm (Sanofi-Syntelabo S.A.).

      Marc earned his Masters degree (Msc) in Business Economics from the Maastricht University (NL) in 1999 majoring in organisational science especially Business Strategy and Process Design. In 2003, Marc was certified as Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute.

    Regina Casonato, Managing VP, Gartner Research

    • Biography

      Regina manages the Information Infrastructure research team, which focuses on technologies, tools and approaches that provide for consistent access, organisation, delivery and governance of structured and unstructured information to all consumers (users, applications, processes and so forth). The Information Infrastructure team focuses on a broad swath of technologies, including data management, document management, data warehousing, data quality, content management, document-centric process management, knowledge management and related infrastructure. The Information Infrastructure team supports five key research agendas: Enterprise Content Management, Data Management and Integration, Enterprise Information Management, Business Intelligence and Information Management, and High Performance Workplace. Regina is also Gartner country leader for Italy.

      Prior to joining Gartner, Regina held various management positions at Olivetti. She has 28 years of experience in the IT industry and is an acknowledged expert in the areas of knowledge management, high-performance workplace and business process management.


    Nicola Ciniero, President and Managing Director, IBM Italy

    • Biography

      A native of Milan and a Law graduate from the city’s university, Nicola Ciniero is President and Managing Director of IBM Italia, after serving as General Manager Sales of the company from January 2008 to May 2009.

      In 2006-2007, Ciniero was Managing Director at the private equity fund, Gatesworthy International, owned by the Bank of America, one of whose subsidiary companies is Jal Group, the world’s biggest manufacturer in the safety footwear industry, with 5000 employees.

      Prior to that period, between March 2003 and April 2006, he worked for IBM dealing with the Communications Sector (Telecommunications, Utilities and Media) for IBM’s South Region, which at that time included the Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Greek, Turkish and Israeli markets.

      Ciniero has had a long and diversified career in Information Technology. In 1979 he started out in the Human Resources Department of Sperry Univac and then, two years later, joined Hewlett Packard. From 1987 to 1990 he was Marketing Director at Nixdorf Computer. From there he moved to Zenith Data Systems Italia. In April 1994 he went to Whirlpool Europe as Regional Director Area III & Area Business Team - Italy, Spain, Portugal and Greece - Retail Trade for all the group brands. After a period as Country Manager of Digital Equipment’s PC Business Unit, Ciniero embarked upon another important phase of his managerial career when he joined Compaq Computer in May 1997 as Deputy General Manager before becoming General Manager and Managing Director in 1999.


    Jim Cushman, Senior Vice President, Products & Services, and General Manager, Enterprise & Government

    • Biography

      Jim Cushman serves the dual role of senior vice president, products & services, and general manager, enterprise & government lines of business. In these roles, Jim is responsible for leading the direction of Initiate's product development and developing the strategies that drive growth in the enterprise and government sectors. During his seven years with Initiate, Jim has held numerous executive positions in presales, architecture, delivery, and support and has been directly involved in the sale and delivery of more than 75 high tech, communications, healthcare, manufacturing, hospitality, public sector, and homeland defense MDM/CDI solution design, development, and implementations on four continents. Jim is the author of two patents related to Initiate’s B2B and hierarchy technology. Prior to Initiate, Jim held various executive, management, and individual contributor roles with numerous technology, management consultancy, and engineering organisations such as Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), 3Genesis, and TenFold Corporation.

    Ron Ercanbrack, Vice President, Enterprise Content Management, IBM

    • Biography

      Ron Ercanbrack is the Vice President/General Manager IBM’s Enterprise Content Management (ECM) business. As the senior executive for the segment, Ron heads the company's development, marketing, sales, client support and consulting services organizations to promote growth through a strong customer-centric strategy. He is responsible for the IBM ECM portfolio of products through both direct and indirect channels.
      A 19-year veteran of IBM, Ron re-joined the company in 2006, as part of its acquisition of FileNet Corporation, a leading provider of ECM solutions, where he served as President of the company. Serving for 10 years at FileNet, Ron held various senior sales and marketing positions including that of Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, and helped expand the company’s customer base to more than 4,300 worldwide.
      In his previous career at IBM, Ron held a variety of positions in planning, manufacturing, engineering, logistics, sales, marketing, and professional services, most recently serving as Vice President, worldwide sales of the Networking Division. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Texas, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Arizona.

    Carl Kessler, Vice President, Worldwide Development, Enterprise Content Management, IBM

    • Biography

      Carl Kessler is the Vice President, Worldwide Development, for IBM’s Enterprise Content Management (ECM) business. He is responsible for the technology strategy, research, architecture, development and support of the ECM products.

      Previously, Carl was Vice President, Worldwide Development & Quality for IBM’s Software Group. In that role, he defined and drove adoption of the technology strategies for IBM's componentisation, team collaboration and consumability initiatives and assured their effective execution across the IBM Software Group’s approximately 25,000 developers. Carl has held senior software engineering executive positions at IBM for more than a decade.

      Previously, while at IBM’s Research Division, Carl was Director of Software Technology, responsible for the Corporation’s research agenda in software engineering and applied computer science. He also served as the Chief Information Officer for IBM’s multiple worldwide Research Division laboratories.

      Carl received an MS in Computer Science from SUNY Stony Brook in 1981 and a BA in Liberal Arts from New York University in 1978. He holds several patents and is a Senior Member of the IEEE. He is the co-author of the book, “Outside-in Software Development: a Practical Approach to Building Successful Stakeholder-based Products,” published by Prentice-Hall in 2007.

    Adam Klaber, Vice President, Consulting Service Lines and Analytics, IBM Global Business Services

    • Biography

      Adam Klaber has overall responsibility for the IBM’s core consulting offerings development, sales and delivery worldwide. In addition, he is responsible for developing, aligning and implementing IBM’s strategy around business analytics across the company. In this capacity, he oversees the development of analytics assets and offerings and overall sales, marketing and client satisfaction for the implementation of business analytics offerings worldwide.

      Prior to his current role, Adam was General Manager for Consulting Services, IBM Global Business Services (GBS). In this capacity, he had overall responsibility for the core consulting offerings development, sales and delivery world-wide. Additionally, he oversaw the asset development for GBS encompassing third party software alliances, integration with IBM R&D and Software groups as well as responsibility for overall GBS learning and knowledge; process methods and tools; and marketing.

      In July of 2008, Adam led IBM’s consulting and managed services business in Latin America. Based in Sao Paulo and Buenos Aires, Adam had overall P&L responsibility for 12 country operations and managed 5,000 employees based in Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Chile, Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay.

      Adam joined Price Waterhouse in 1986 and made partner in 1994. He has held other leadership roles including establishing and leading the firm’s CRM practice and leading Communications Industry sector. He has a BA in Economics from the University of Hartford and a MBA from Columbia University.

    Arvind Krishna, General Manager, Information Management Software, IBM

    • Biography

      Arvind Krishna is General Manager of IBM’s Information Management Software Division which includes database, data warehouse, information integration, master data management, integrated data management and associated software. Arvind is responsible for the revenue, development, strategy, and ecosystem of the Information Management business, a multibillion dollar market. Previously, he was the Vice President of Strategy for IBM Software Group. He has held many key roles in both IBM Software and IBM Research including pioneering IBM’s security software business. He has an undergraduate degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur and a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is the recipient of a distinguished alumni award1 from the University of Illinois, and is the co-author of 15 patents.

    • Biography

      Magnus Lindkvist is a trendspotter and futurologist based in Stockholm, Sweden, His mission is to help companies make sense (and money) out of future possibilities and inspire people into action. He founded his company Pattern Recognition AB in 2005 and have a mix of large conglomerates and nimble upstarts within finance, energy, media and IT on the client list. Furthermore, he was elected Sweden’s Business of Speaker of the Year in 2009. His book Everything We Know Is Wrong – The Trendspotter’s Handbook is out now on Marshcall Cavendish Publishers.

    Leah MacMillan, Director of Market Strategy, Business Analytics, IBM

    • Biography

      Leah MacMillan is Director of Market Strategy for IBM Business Analytics. With over 20 years high-tech marketing and product management experience, Leah is responsible for capturing and communicating the value of IBM’s business analytics software and solutions to customers, sellers, partners, press and analysts. Most recently, as Director of Product Marketing at IBM, Leah was the driving force behind the go-to-market success of IBM Cognos’ BI offerings.

      She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Marketing and International Business from McGill University.

    Bernard S. Meyerson, Ph.D., Vice President for Innovation, IBM

    • Biography

      Dr. Meyerson now serves as the Vice President for Innovation, and leads IBM’s Global University Relations Function within IBM’s Corporate HQ organization. He is also responsible for the IBM Academy, a self-governed organization of ~1000 executives and senior technical leaders from across IBM. Dr. Meyerson was appointed to this position in October 2009. Dr. Meyerson is also a member of CEO Sam Palmisano’s Integration and Values Team, the senior executive group integrating the business activities of IBM’s many disparate organizations and geographies.

      In 1980, Dr. Meyerson joined IBM Research as a Staff member, leading the development of silicon:germanium and other high performance technologies over a period of 10 years. In 1992, Dr. Meyerson was appointed the sole IBM Fellow that year by IBM’s Chairman, this being IBM’s highest technical honor. In 2001 he was appointed Chief Technologist of IBM’s Technology Group, and in 2003 he assumed operational responsibility for IBM’s global Semiconductor R&D efforts. In that role Dr. Meyerson led the world’s largest semiconductor development consortium – members being IBM, Sony, Toshiba, AMD, Samsung, Chartered Semiconductor, and Infineon. In his most recent role, Dr.Meyerson was VP of Strategic Alliances and CTO for the IBM Systems and Technology group, inclusive its M&A practice.

      Dr. Meyerson is a Fellow of the American Physical Society and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc. (IEEE). He is also a member of the National Academy of Engineering. He has received numerous technical and business awards for his work, which include: the Materials Research Society Medal, the Electrochemical Society Electronics Division Award, the IEEE Ernst Weber Award, the Electron Devices Society J. J. Ebers Award, and most recently the 2007 Lifetime Achievement Award from SEMI. For his innovation efforts, Dr. Meyerson was cited as “Inventor of the Year” by the New York State Legislature in 1998, and he was recognized as “United States Distinguished Inventor of the Year” by the US IP Law Association and the Patent and Trademark office in 1999. He was most recently recognized in May of 2008 as “Inventor of the Year” by the New York State Intellectual Property Lawyers Association.

      Dr. Meyerson and his team was the subject of a long-running study on the topic of innovation in large organizations, culminating in the 2001 Harvard Business School Press publication titled: “Radical Innovation; How Mature Companies Can Outsmart Upstarts.” More recently, a formal business case study of what has now evolved into IBM’s Semiconductor Strategy of Collaborative Innovation was featured as part of Harvard Business School’s 100th anniversary event in March of 2008, and the underlying case is now taught as part of the HBS MBA curriculum.

    Dr. Christian Plenge, Head of Architecture & Innovation Services, MGI Metro Group Information Technology GmbH

    • Biography

      Dr. Christian Plenge is Head of Architecture & Innovation Services of MGI METRO Group Information Technology GmbH. He is in charge of identifying, developing and testing new technologies and innovation for the METRO Group. This includes the entire value chain from the supplier to retail store and customer and all relevant technologies. He is responsible for technology used in METRO Group’s RFID program and as well as the innovations that are developed as part of METRO Group’s Future Store Initiative.

      As his second duty he is responsible for Enterprise Architecture Management at METRO Group.

    Mike Rhodin, Senior Vice President, IBM Software Solutions Group

    • Biography

      Mike Rhodin is Senior Vice President, IBM Software Solutions Group. This group focuses on integrated offerings that target high-growth opportunities such as business analytics, collaboration and industry solutions.

      Over the course of his 25-year career with IBM, Mike has demonstrated a passion for helping IBM clients maximize their return on IT investment by simplifying the way people work and improving organizational performance.

      Prior to his current role, Mike was General Manager, IBM Northeast Europe. In this role, Mike drove greater focus on IBM's clients by shifting responsibility to the Integrated Market Teams (IMTs), dramatically reducing bureaucracy, and furthering IBM's smarter planet agenda.

      Before this, Mike was General Manager of IBM’s Lotus Software Division. He led a team to create the "human side" of IBM's software strategy by developing IBM's collaborative technology and solutions which integrate people, data and business processes. Prior to that, as Vice President of Development and Technical Support for Lotus, Mike worked to transform the front-end of computing.

      He joined IBM in 1984 upon his graduation from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.

    Stefano Sappino, Director of Information Management Department and Chief of the CRM and Integration Process, Poste Italiane

    • Biography

      Since 2004 , Mr. Sappino has been the Director of Information Management Department and Chief of the CRM and Integration Process at Poste Italiane.

      From 1996 through 2003 , Mr Sappino performed the same role at Telecom Italia. Prior to that he developed his career working for important centres of research within large Italian companies. He speaks at many international events sponsored by multinational organisations and public institutions (such as Universities) on the subject of "Transformation and Innovation, CRM and Process Integration".

    Paraic Sweeney, Vice President, Product Management Information Management, IBM Software Group

    • Biography

      Paraic Sweeney joined IBM in 1980 and has held a variety of international positions, which include managing product development, financial planning, product marketing, and consulting in Dublin Ireland, Paris France, and Somers, New York.

      Today he leads the product management team responsible for product strategy and roadmap for IBM's InfoSphere business. This portfolio features industry models, products for data quality, ETL and CDC based integration and Master Data Management. The portfolio includes technologies acquired over the last five years from software innovators including Ascential, DWL, DataMirror, SRD, Language Analytics, Trigo, Unicorn and Exeros.

      Prior to this role in the Information Management division he was responsible for marketing IBM's portfolio of industry integration solutions that exploit IBM's market leading middleware infrastructure and open industry standards leadership. In this role he had marketing responsibility for CrossWorlds Software and Holosofx technologies, key elements of the WebSphere Integration portfolio. In addition, he has worked in a range leadership roles with IBM's Software Group, including VP Marketing, Internet Technologies, where he launched the WebSphere brand, and prior to that as Director of Electronic Marketing and Commerce, IBM Software Group, where he was responsible for developing and implementing a range of electronic marketing, sales and distribution programs.

      Mr. Sweeney received his degree in Business Studies from University College Dublin.

    Bridget van Kralingen, General Manager, IBM North America

    • Biography

      Bridget van Kralingen is the General Manager of IBM North America. Named to that role in January 2010, she is responsible for strategy, execution, business results and client satisfaction for the full range of IBM's business in the United States and Canada. Bridget is accountable for IBM’s portfolios in consulting, technology services, software, hardware and financing for clients which together generate about $40 billion in revenue each year. Her organization works with corporations, government agencies, educational institutions and small businesses helping them achieve competitive advantage through technology and business innovation.

      In addition to her North America responsibilities, Bridget is the Executive Sponsor of IBM’s innovation initiatives in Microfinance and Mobile Banking. In this role Bridget oversees a set of projects across four continents that are helping bring basic financial services to the ‘bottom of the pyramid’. Most notable of these is a Microfinance Processing Hub that IBM has established in Latin America, which is the first of several regional Hubs that IBM will build around the world. Bridget also serves on IBM’s Performance Team of senior executive leaders.

      For three years, prior to her current role, Bridget was the General Manager of IBM Global Business Services, Northeast Europe, Middle East and Africa. She was responsible for strategy, execution and business results of the consulting, systems integration and application services businesses across more than 50 countries. Bridget led a region-wide rebuilding of IBM’s advisory consulting business, improving climate, capabilities and culture and also turned around underperforming units in Eastern Europe, and significantly growing revenue and profit for the entire region. While posted in Europe, Bridget also served on the IBM Chairman’s Strategy Team, which sets strategy for IBM.

      Previously, Bridget was Global Managing Partner of the Financial Services Sector for IBM’s Business Consulting Services, based in New York. She led a practice consisting of business and technology advisory work, systems integration, application development and business process outsourcing across the Insurance, Financial Markets and Banking industries.

      Bridget has over 20 years of consulting experience, and has worked with clients that include JP Morgan, Merrill Lynch, Credit Suisse and Morgan Stanley. In 2005, Bridget was named by Euromoney as one of the one hundred most influential people in Finance. She was named one of Consulting Magazine’s Top 25 Consultants for 2006.

      Bridget joined IBM in April 2004 from Deloitte Consulting, where she was Managing Partner of Deloitte Consulting Financial Services Sector for North America. Bridget was a Deloitte Partner for 10 years, and also built and ran the firm’s Strategy and Organization Development practice in South Africa, executing strategy, organizational change, leadership development and cost reduction projects for CEOs across multiple industries.

      Bridget holds a Masters degree in Business from the University of South Africa and Bachelors and Honours degrees in Commerce from the University of Witwatersrand. Bridget is a qualified Psychologist and began her career as a principal researcher at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research.

    Martin J. Wildberger, Vice President, WW Information Management Development, IBM

    • Biography

      Martin is the Vice President, WW Information Management Development. In this role he has responsibility for the worldwide development of IBM’s Information Management portfolio within IBM Software Group. Martin defines the business and technical strategy and is responsible for the development of the data management segment, a multi-billion dollar market for IBM.

      From 2006 to 2009 Martin was Vice President, IBM Sensor Solutions, responsible for building and delivering industry solutions leveraging data from the physical world to transform their business. As part of this role, Martin was a thought leader in IBM’s Smarter Planet vision. In addition to the Sensor Solutions business, Martin was also the Director of the IBM Canada Software Lab from 2004 until December, 2009. With more than 5,000 software professionals, IBM Canada Laboratory has the second largest development team in IBM. The IBM Canada lab has sites in Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Vancouver, Victoria, Edmonton and London, Ontario.

      From 2004 to 2006, Martin was Vice President, Industry Solutions Software Group, responsible for the formation and development of IBM’s Industry Solutions organisation inside Software Group, while on assignment in New York. Prior to this he was first Director and then Vice President, WebSphere Commerce, responsible for IBM’s e-commerce business.

      From 1992 to 1997 Martin was involved with Information Management Development, including three years at the IBM Almaden Research center in California, responsible for delivering key research technology into the DB2 database product line.

      Martin joined IBM in 1984 as a software developer inside the IBM Toronto Lab where he held numerous development and management positions.

      Martin is a 1984 electrical engineering graduate of the University of Toronto.
