Integrate social media and analytics in your classroom with Hootsuite and IBM
As an Academic Initiative member, you can nominate your course for the AI for Cloud offer. With access to the IBM Cloud, you can integrate teaching IBM's Insights for Twitter with resources from Hootsuite's Higher Education Program. Using these cloud-based resources from IBM and Hootsuite will not only help your students learn how to harness social data and take decisive actions across product and sales life cycles, but also help them learn professional social media skills for the marketplace.
Hootsuite's education team welcomes IBM Academic Initiative educators to apply for Hootsuite's Higher Education Program. Social media education resources from Hootsuite are available to accredited college and university educators to add to their classrooms. Educators who enroll their classes receive three months of free access to Hootsuite Pro and Hootsuite University, and they can add the dashboard and social media education resources to their course and classroom activities.
To apply, visit Hootsuite's Higher Education Program site, and fill out the application form. Be sure to type IBM Academic Initiative in the Referred by (name) field, and type firstname.lastname@example.org in the Referred by (email) field. Hootsuite will email applicants information regarding the enrollment and integration process. Once the application is approved, Hootsuite's Higher Education Program is available at no cost to educators at accredited higher education institutions. Participation is granted on an individual basis. Educators can enroll multiple classes and over multiple semesters.
