During these 2 days, attendees will discover some awesome functions of this intricate
middleware. This workshop is an introduction to show the two engines: the Business Rules engine and the Business Event engine. Business users will discover the Decision Center and the a new feature in v8: the Business Console. Attendees with more technical skills will discover the two tools designed for them: The Rules Designer and the Events Designer.

The first day will be focused on Business Rules. After discovering the Decision Center and seeing how the line of business will have the capability to create new business rules as well to manage existing rules attendees will complete a more technical lab. Using the Rule Designer they will start a project from almost zero and will design and implement a simple project; they will deploy and test it using webservice in order to see how a complex project could be done and integrated with already existing assets.

The second day will shift focus on Events Rules. As with day 1 they will use the Decision Center while acting as the Line of Business to see how a existing project could be maintained and upgraded by business owners. Then during the afternoon they will discover the Event Designer to start exploring how to initiate a real and complex project.
