In a recent survey (The "Upwardly Mobile" Enterprise -- a new IBM Institute for Business Value study – Full Report) of more than 600 companies and interviews with 30 mobile leaders, the IBM Institute for Business Value (IBV) found that while most companies recognize the need for a mobile strategy to effectively compete in the future, less than half of organizations demonstrate characteristics of a well-defined mobile strategy. 73 percent of mobile strategy leaders are seeing measurable ROI from their mobile initiatives versus 34 percent of all other companies in the study.
