IBM GITSS Team

IBM is the prime contractor to seven subcontractors, all of which are small businesses. Our team has the knowledge and experience to help VA meet the objectives of the GITSS initiative. IBM is a worldwide leader in technology, invests over $5B per year in research and development, and generates more patents than any other firm in the world. To identify the best possible solutions for our clients, we are also the largest purchaser and implementer of technologies in the marketplace for our clients, including technologies from such firms as Sun Microsystems, Oracle Corporation, and Hewlett Packard. Our team provides expertise in the areas of business consulting, integrated technology services, strategic outsourcing, e-business hosting, and application management. This broad scope gives us knowledge of the full life cycle of IT acquisitions, from conception to delivery and testing.

To help VA meet GITSS objectives, we have established a contractor team that covers the scope from technical performance, geographic, and contract value standpoints. Our team has a wide range of skills that will be brought to bear on any GITSS project. Each business' exact responsibilities will vary based on the task order's requirements, but all will be staffed based on our subcontractors' strengths. Should additional, unique value skills be required to support a task, we will work to bring additional partners onto our contract.
