What is the Harvard University community pilot?
The Harvard University community is a private online community for you and the IBM account team to collaborate on topics of interest to you.
Key features include instant messaging, announcements, blogs, forums, document sharing and collaboration, bookmarking, and the ability to share and subscribe to content feeds.
This community is powered by IBM Lotus Connections. IBM Lotus® Connections is social software for business that empowers you to be more innovative and helps you execute more quickly by using dynamic networks of coworkers, partners, and customers.

Login to the Harvard University Community . You will be prompted to log in. Enter your IBM ID and password.
The following Web browsers are supported by Lotus Connections:
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 and above on Windows XP. Note: If you are using Internet Explorer 6 on Windows Server 2003 or Windows XP, download the Jscript.dll file, version 5.6.0.8834, from Microsoft.
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0 and above on Windows Vista.
- Mozilla Firefox 2.0 on Windows, SLED, and Mac OS X.

How to join the community pilot?
1. You will need an IBM user ID and password. If you don't already have one, register for an IBM user ID and password
2. You will need to create a Lotus Connections Profile which will be available as public information to the communities. It is recommended that you input your job title for other community members to get to know your role in the community. You may also input other contact information, information about yourself, and provide a photo. Please enable your browser to accept pop-ups from ibm.com.
3. Contact Shelley Moffitt, your Community Leader and Client Rep, and let her know that you'd like to join the Harvard University community. Shelley will add you to the community.
4. Once Shelley adds you to the Harvard University community member list, you will receive an e-mail notification. Follow the "Open this community" link in your e-mail notification to access the community space.
5. You will be prompted to log in. Enter your IBM ID and password.
